Catalina Estrada

Catalina was born and raised in Columbia before moving to Barcelona in 1999. Drawing on the colours and themes of her native Latin-American folklore she combines this with a more sophisticated European edge. Her work features beautifully styled illusive worlds, bursting with colour, nature and fantastic characters creating a magical feel. Her unique style has attracted many major clients including Paul Smith, Coca-Cola, Sony Music, Nike, Honda, Custo-Barcelona to name but a few. She regularly exhibits around the world and her work is often featured in publications such as Die Gestalten Verlag, Swindle, DPI, Ppaper and Graphic Magazine. Jon Burgerman

We have been working with Jon Burgerman since 2006 and his abstract doodles which adorn our cards and wrap continue to delight our customers. His designs are packed with colour and quirky characters making his card and wrap designs stand out from the norm. As well as his collaboration with NineteenSeventyThree, Jon has worked on projects with such well known names as Levi’s, The Science Museum, The BBC, Sony, Miss Sixty, Rip Curl, Virgin Atlantic and MTV. His work has appeared on bags, books, belts, snowboards, cushions and has even been made into a range of toys. He has exhibited all around the world and has been featured in numerous magazines including The Guardian, Creative Review, Design Week, DPI Magazine, IdN, ROJO, Graphic, ModArt, Dot Dot Dash, Full Vinyl, 300% Cotton and This Is A Magazine. TADO

NineteenSeventyThree are pleased to introduce new design team TADO to it’s artists collective. TADO is Mike and Katie, two hard working designers who’s skills encompass graphic design, animation, illustration, toy design and everything in between! Based in Sheffield, their work covers such areas as logo design, animation, web design, home-wares, and even customising cars! Their work is character based and has a distinctive Japanese cartoon feel to it. Their clients have included Honda, MTV, Volkswagen, Nike, Sony, Adidas, Time Out, British Airways and the World Wildlife Fund. We hope that you fall in love with TADO’s cute characters and we are sure that they will become a NineteenSeventyThree classic too. PushMePullYou Design

Another recent prized addition to our artists is Pushmepullyou Design. Run in Philadelphia by Eleanor Grosch who set up the company in 2003, it’s studio specialises in screenprinting and band posters. The new range of cards and wrap feature beautiful geometric animal designs using subtle colour combinations to enhance the distinct retro feel. Pushmepullyou brings a classic design element to Nineteenseventythree and so far the designs have proved immensely popular. Eboy

Graphics collective eBoy is Steffen Sauerteig, Svend Smital and Kai Vermehr who have been collaborating on cards and wrap with NineteenSeventyThree since 2004. Their highly recognisable unique form of artwork features a complex world of pixellated cityscapes and characters. Most recently they have designed the cover artwork for Groove Armada’s new album Soundboy Rock and single Get Down. eBoy has previously teamed up with a host of famous brands such as Adidas, Amazon, Coca-Cola, Computer Arts Magazine, DaimlerChrysler, Diesel, DKNY, Egg, Honda, Kellogs, Levi’s, Microsoft, MTV, Nestle, Nike, Paul Smith, Pepsi, Renault, The Face, The Guardian and The New York Times Magazine.
